Slicer | *New*

Back in the summer of 2022 I purchased both the Slicer and Sander along with the the optional length stop for each. I left glowing reviews of both tools, and related what a giant leap above anything else available they were! I’ve been using them for 1-1/2 years now, and believe me when I say that my respect for these tools, and the genius of Al Collins, gets greater each time I use them! Recently, a friend whose 7 year old daughter collects Schliech model horses, asked me if I could/would build her a stable for her horses. It was a project that would challenge my abilities, but I’m proud to say that the Slicer and Sander (and couple packs of Rolaids!) got me through this project swimmingly well! And though these tools are typically used on basswood, I milled home center premium pine to the dimensions needed and cut it to length on the Slicer and Sander with no problem! If you’re a ship or railroad modeler, or build dollhouses, or a woodworker making Kumiko, your shop is lacking if these tools aren’t in it! And if you have to make multiple s of the same pieces, they’re even more valuable! I highly recommend them!

I had been using the NWSL chopper. This blows that tool.out of the water. This is a finely crafted piece of machinery. This cuts perfectly square ends on stripwood that need very little cleanup. The folks at Ultimation are also nice enough to include where to buy extra blades so you don't need to pay shipping from Canada. I can't wait to purchase the sander next.

This is an awesome tool that I use in every model I make. It is robust, well built, and worth every penny. When used in conjunction with the sander/repeater, you are assured of cutting your wood to exact standards.

I’ve been greatly impressed with both the slider and disc sander. I work on wooden model ships and this is perfect for the job. Also had a slight problem with my initial order and it was fixed right away. Great customer service.

A simply wonderful tool that I use for ship modeling that has allowed me to take everything to the next level due to the accuracy and precision now available. I cannot recommend it more for use in any hobby that requires precise cuts of wood. Absolutely fantastic.
